A fine English hanger c 1770 of the type favoured by officers
A fine English hanger c 1770 of the type favoured by officers. The slightly curved blade is cut with two fullers. The grip is made from a single piece of green stained ivory and carved with a lion’s head pommel above spiral flutes. The silver crosspiece is chased with military trophies and the reversed quillons have lion’s head finials. Excellent age patina.
