A Victorian naval officer's sword by Henry Wilkinson fitted with their patent solid hilt. The blade No 14601 (for 1866) is etched with the crowned Royal Arms and fouled anchor amidst scrolling foliage, the forte is etched with Wilkinson's details and "Patent Solid Hilt", and inlaid with their gilt maker's mark. The regulation hilt with a folding sideguard retains only traces of gilding. The two piece composition grips are white painted and bound with twisted copper wire. Clean untouched condition.
