A silver mounted Arab dagger Khanjar (Jambiya)
A silver mounted Arab dagger Khanjar (Jambiya) probably Omani c. 1900, blade with raised central rib. Rhino horn hilt with thick silver nails placed so closely that they appear to form a solid sheet. Silver mounts embossed and chased with flowers and foliage, top mount (locket) with Imperial crown, reverse of grip punched with an Arabic inscription. 4 silver rings, geometric designs of gold foil tape and silver wire to front of sheath.
