An unusual Anglo-Ceylonese knife Piha Kaetta
An unusual Anglo-Ceylonese knife Piha Kaetta, 1st ½ of the 19th century, solid black coral hilt carved with stylised plumage. Silver plated brass ferrule chiselled with plumage, blade with brass lined fullers, a little silver damascened decoration. In its European silver sheath (not hall marked) engraved overall with foliage, rococo ornament and geometric scrollwork.
