A silver mounted Indian or Nepalese Kukri
A silver mounted Indian or Nepalese Kukri, probably c 1940, well made blade stamped with dots “WITH BEST COMPLIMENTS TO COL.A.R.NYE FROM 3 A.R”, ivory hilt. In its silver mounted leather covered sheath, top mount (locket) pierced and deeply chiselled with a stylised face, pair of snakes, flowers and foliage, silver rectangle stamped “PRESENTED TO COL.A.R. NYE”, silver wire belt, leather pocket contains ivory handled companion knife and chuk muk.
