A fine English pocket compass
A fine English pocket compass, early 19th century. The case of burnished gilt copper in the form of a pocket watch. Enamelled “compass rose”, blued steel pointer with gilt N & S. In its velvet and silk lined case covered with crimson Morocco leather, swivel brass hook fastener. On the back of the compass is written its original price-10 shillings and 6 pence (half a guinea).
