A late 18th century model of a bronze barrelled field cannon
A late 18th century model of a bronze barrelled field cannon, barrel with turned reinforces, swollen muzzle, raised vent. On its fruitwood carriage, front of both sides carved with stylised human heads. Bronze mounts, baluster spacers, pierced bronze axle, canted wheels with bronze mounts, steel elevating screw, swivel “jockey wheel” at back of carriage. Good age patina overall.
