A boxlock flintlock pocket pistol
A boxlock flintlock pocket pistol by Dutton of London c 1800. Turn off barrel cut with deep 7 groove rifling, proved at the breech. The frame signed within ovals upon military trophies. The pan is slightly raised and lined with gold. The safety catch locks the frizzen to the fence in the closed position. The trigger folds flush with the frame. The walnut grip is inlaid with a vacant silver escutcheon.
