A Belgian boxlock percussion pocket pistol
A Belgian boxlock percussion pocket pistol c 1850. The turn off barrel is of fine etched Damascus twist, the muzzle is cut for a barrel key. The frame is Liege proved and engraved with scrolling foliage. The hammer is off set for sighting and the trigger folds flush. The rounded ebony grip is inlaid with a shield shaped nickel escutcheon engraved with the owner’s crest of a cockerel grasping a plant.
