A fine .56” Sea Service percussion pistol dated 1846. Regulation barrel with Tower military proof and government inspector’s stamps. Fullstocked, stepped lockplate engraved with crowned VR, Tower and 1846, with inspector’s stamp. Regulation brass mounts, swivel ramrod and steel lanyard loop. Stock with Government inspector’s stamps and stockmaker/contractors Bond-E. Hadley. This is a very good example of an otherwise quite common pistol.
