A scarce pair of Belgian boxlock flintlock blunderbuss pistols
A scarce pair of Belgian boxlock flintlock blunderbuss pistols by Anne Marchot of Liege, who is recorded working 1798-1799. The brass barrels and engraved frames are signed Anne-Marchot, and have oval muzzles. The sliding safety catches lock the fences to the frizzens in the closed position. The pistols are fitted with swollen walnut grips. Good patina and crisp condition overall.
