A pair of 38 bore percussion holster pistols
A pair of 38 bore percussion holster pistols by Parson of Swaffham c 1840. The browned octagonal twist barrels are engraved Swaffham, and fitted with open sights and inlaid with silver breech lines. The foliate engraved locks are signed Parson, and fitted with sliding safety bolts and detented actions. The pistols have foliate engraved pineapple finialled steel trigger guards, swivel ramrods, nickel escutcheons and barrel wedge plates, and rounded chequered grips. Good colour and patina overall, and retaining traces of their original finish.
