A Nepalese silver mounted presentation kukri
A Nepalese silver mounted presentation kukri dated 1955. The blade is of conventional form, chiselled with foliage, and with a silver ferrule and a carved ivory hilt. Contained in its silver mounted red velvet sheath, the rear pockets contain a matching companion knife, a thick bladed chak muk (strike-a-light) and a rectangular silver plaque engraved “Presented to Maj. Gen. H.E. Williams by Indian Army Engineers in Nepal 1955”.
