A pair of 54 bore boxlock percussion pocket pistols
A pair of 54 bore boxlock percussion pocket pistols by J. Hilliar of Birmingham. The turn off octagonal barrels are struck with Birmingham proofmarks and engraved J. Hilliar Birmm, with fern tip engraving around the muzzles. The brass frames are nicely engraved with foliage, the triggers fold flush into the frames, and the sliding safety bolts lock the hammers. The finely chequered rounded walnut grips are inlaid with vacant silver escutcheons. A crisp pair of pistols.
