An Indian combined axe and pistol
An Indian combined axe and pistol, 17th or 18th century. The steel haft forms the barrel which is of 30 bore and is cut with spiral decoration, the integral pan is intended to be hand ignited. A rectangular section integral extension forms the grip, which has a knop finial. The crescent shaped head is heavy and has a thick socket.
