A fine lacquered horn priming flask
A fine lacquered horn priming flask from the Chin / Arakan Hills area of the Indo-Burmese border, early to mid 19th century. Lacquered in red and black with zinc lattice decoration and brass mounts, the wooden end cap presumably doubles as a powder measure. From the same source as items No 268 and 269, this flask is undoubtedly from the Birdwood Collection although without a label.
Overall length 6” (15cms)
