A South American hunting knife c 1900
A South American hunting knife c 1900, fitted with nickel mounts and crosspiece, and a polished bone grip. The double edged blade is of shallow diamond section, polished mirror bright and etched on one side “LA MUERTE ANTES QUE LA DESHONRA: (Death before dishonour) amidst foliage. Contained in its leather sheath with nickel mounts and brass belt hook. The blade retains nearly all its original polish.
