A north European silver hilted smallsword
A north European silver hilted smallsword, c 1730 - 1740. The hilt is struck on the quillon and on the rim of the shellguard with maker’s initials I.R.(?). The hilt is of conventional form, with the original wire bound grip. The blade is of hollow ground triangular section.
