A Spanish naval officer’s sword c 1800, the hilt design based on the Royal Guard Regiments smallsword. Gilt brass hilt of regulation pattern with impressed roped decoration to the sides of the pommel and grip, and to the edge of the guard. The blade mostly of thick diamond section, partly etched with rococo ornament, the forte with trophies of arms.
