A good Indian plain polished steel dagger katar, 17th Century, from the Bikaneer Armoury. The broad blade of well defined Oriental Damascus steel, with a sharp central reinforcing rib, a raised flame shaped chiselled panel at the forte, and a thickened point. At the forte is a pricked armoury inscription.
