An unusual Indian silver mouthpiece (munal) for the water pipe (hookah), 19th century. Formed in 3 sections, an octagonal socket, a lion’s head with the head of a makarra issuing from it, and a sexagonal tapered spout with a chained silver stopper. Suspended by a silver chain and rings.
