An Arabian dagger jambya
An Arabian dagger jambya from the Hijaz or Asir, mounted in eastern silver late 19th century. The tapered double edged blade with a chiselled rib. The front of the hilt and locket are covered with filigree work, the back of the hilt is copper, the back of the locket is tin, and the chape is made from eastern silver engraved on the front. See R.
