Description:
An English hunting hanger, late 17th Century. The blade slightly curved and deeply struck with the mark of a bearded king’s head. The brass hilt incorporating a single shell guard cast with a cherubic head above a grotesque mask, the knucklebow with a trophy, and the pommel with 2 busts and 2 grotesques in a frieze of foliage.
