An unusual hunting hanger
An unusual hunting hanger, N. Europe c 1730. The hollow ground blade probably Italian, with a fluted back edge and traces of etched designs and inscriptions. The brass hilt with a small down turned shell guard, the knucklebow enters a small pommel button situated in the fold of the pommel. The grip is made from a single piece of polished agate.
