An American Infantry officer’s sword
An American Infantry officer’s sword with “Weeping Eagle” or “Osborn Eagle” pommel c 1805. The plain blade with single edge, cut with a single fuller. The brass eagle’s head pommel and “slotted” guard each with traces of gilding. The slightly swollen polished bone grip is reeded. An untouched sword showing honest age wear. See E.A.
