A scarce 1803 pattern Grenadier Company Infantry officer’s sword. The regulation blade is faintly etched with crowned GR and traces of the usual devices. The regulation copper hilt retains some original gilding, the knucklebow with a grenade above the crowned GR, and with lion’s head pommel. The grip covered with fishskin and bound with twisted copper wire.
