A "manstopper" flintlock pistol by George Goodwin & Co, 1807-1818. The browned octagonal twist barrel of 10 bore fitted with patent breech, the rearsight removed. Walnut fullstock, the signed lock fitted with anti-friction roller to the frizzen spring. The steel trigger guard with pineapple finial. Flattened grip, vacant silver escutcheon, horn tipped wooden ramrod with steel worm.
