Description:
A good quality Scottish dress powder horn, mid 19th century. Silver coloured mounts (not hall marked) comprising the end cap with the crest of the Dalrymple family, the top is thistle shaped and set with an amethyst coloured facetted foiled glass "stone". The top unscrews to serve as a vent or nipple pricker, the flask is suspended by a chain from three rings. Excellent patina overall.
