A good George Vth (1910-1936) 1897 pattern Infantry officer's sword. The blade, by Robt Mole & Sons Birmingham Makers to the War & India Offices, is etched and polished with the crowned GVR and Royal Arms within foliage. Regulation plated guard and chequered gripstrap. The fishskin grip is bound with twisted silver wire. In its field service brown leather scabbard. The blade and hilt retain nearly all their original mirror polish and plating respectively.
