A good 1821 pattern officer's sword
A good 1821 pattern officer's sword of the 1st Surrey Light Horse. The blade by PILLIN Manufacturer, Gerrard St, London is etched and mirror polished with crowned 1st Surrey Light Horse within garter, together with a strung bugle and foliage. Regulation steel triple bar guard and chequered gripstrap. The grip is covered with sharkskin and bound with twisted copper wire. In its steel dress scabbard with twin hanging rings. The blade retains nearly all of its original mirror polish.
