An 1845 pattern Victorian Infantry officer's sword. The blade by HENRY WILKINSON, PALL MALL, LONDON No 15032 is etched with the crowned VR cypher within foliate scrolls, together with the owner's crest and initials A.B. Regulation gilt brass hilt, the grip is covered with fishkin and is bound with twisted copper wire. Contained in its steel dress scabbard.

Wilkinson confirm that this sword was sold to A. Briggs (Bart) in March 1867.
