Description:
A Victorian Royal Artillery officer's sword. The blade by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, No 18997, is etched and polished with crowned Royal Arms, regimental title and devices amidst scrolling foliage, together with the owner's crest. The steel guard and chequered gripstrap of regulation pattern, the grip is covered with fishskin and bound with twisted silver wire. Contained in its steel dress scabbard. Supplied by Wilkinsons in 1873
