Description:
A late Victorian Heavy Cavalry officer's undress sword. The blade by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London No 37965 is etched and polished with the crowned VR cypher and Royal arms amidst foliage, and is sharpened for field service. The steel guard and chequered grip strap of regulation pattern, the grip is covered with fishskin and bound with twisted silver wire. Contained in its steel dress scabbard.
