A good late Victorian Heavy Cavalry officer's undress sword. The blade by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London No 37307 is etched and polished with the crowned VR cypher, laurel wreath and Royal coat of arms amidst scrolling foliage. The guard and chequered gripstrap are plated, the grip is covered with black fishskin and bound with twisted copper wire. Contained in its plated dress scabbard. A clean example.
