A good George Vth Royal Army Medical Corps 1892 pattern officer's sword. The blade is etched and mirror polished with the crowned GVR cypher (1910-1936) amidst scrolling foliage. Regulation guard and chequered gripstrap of gilt brass, the grip is covered with black fishskin and is bound with twist copper and gilt wire. Brown leather dress knot, in its brown leather field service scabbard. The blade retains nearly all of its original mirror polish with 2 small stains.
