An 1845 pattern Infantry officer's sword. The unusual blade by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London No 10338 is polished bright and unfullered, and etched with the (uinidentified) owner's crest. Regulation brass hilt, the wooden grip with remains of fishskin covering bound with twisted copper wire. Contained in its steel dress scabbard.
