A Victorian Royal Artillery officer's sword c 1850. The blade by Millan & Mann, 135 George St, Edinburgh is nicely etched and polished with the crowned VR cypher, the regimental title and devices all amidst scrolling foliage. The steel guard and chequered gripstrap of regulation pattern, the grip is covered with fishskin and is bound with twisted copper wire. Contained in its steel scabbard.
