A good Victorian 1828 pattern officer's silver plated broadsword of the Cameronians. The broad double edged blade by MILLER of DUNDEE is etched with the crowned VR cypher, strung bugle and thistles within scrolling foliage. The steel basket guard and fluted pommel of regulation pattern thickly plated with silver. The grip is covered with fishskin and bound with twisted copper wire, the pommel retains its original silk fringe. Contained in its silver plated steel scabbard.
