Description:
An unusual Indian painted powder flask, 17th or 18th century, the form is based on a large nautilus type shell with the tail formed as a stylised open mouth. The top is carved with 8 petals in relief, and fitted with a turned ivory nozzle and green stained stopper and with twin iron suspension rings. Dark blue background with details painted in red and yellow.
