A good large 19th Century Sudanese trousse
A good large 19th Century Sudanese trousse of 3 Mahdist daggers. The blades nicely etched with Thuluth inscriptions, the carved polished bone hilts with horn pommel caps. All contained within their sheaths made from the skin and head of a Nile crocodile, all with excellent age patina and the crocodile's head with disconsolate expression.
Length of blade 8¼" (21cms) Maximum Overall length including sheath 18½" (47cms)
