An African Tuareg tribal arm dagger Telek
An African Tuareg tribal arm dagger Telek, late 19th Century. The tapered blade is cut with narrow fullers. The brass hilt is cast in the form of the Cross of Agades and applied with 2 raised copper devices. The brass sheath and arm band are nicely engraved with geometric borders and reserves containing various geometric and foliate devices including entwined strapwork. The tip of the sheath with a small repair.
