A Sinhalese ivory
A Sinhalese ivory, silver and brass mounted knife Piha Kaetta, probably late 18th century. Ivory grips carved with stylised plumage, brass ferrule chiselled en-suite and inlaid with silver. Silver pommel and mounts finely chased with scrolling foliage. Plain blade with fullers.
