A Sinhalese silver mounted knife Piha Kaetta from Ceylon, probably late 18th century. Black coral grips and silver inlaid brass ferrules carved and chiselled with stylised plumage. Elaborate foliate engraved and chased silver mounts. Blade chiselled, silver overlaid and inlaid with foliage and flowers. In wooden sheath with copper top mount.
