A good Sumatran dagger Sewar

A good Sumatran dagger Sewar, late 19th Century. The blade of blackened iron with a narrow band of pattern welding incorporating metal of high nickel content. The hilt is carved from hippo ivory. Contained in its ebony sheath with top carved from nicely grained wood, the tip of hippo ivory. Excellent patina.
