A dog’s spiked iron collar
A dog’s spiked iron collar, 17th Century, probably for use by a hunting dog. The collar is reputed to have been found in India but it seems to be of a universal construction and may well have been made in Europe. A hinged bracket is for the attachment of a leash, and two eyes locate the collar in the closed position and can be used to lock it. Excellent age patina.
