A good scarce 46 bore over and under percussion belt pistol
A good scarce 46 bore over and under percussion belt pistol by Lacy & Co c 1840 fitted with a selective revolving hammer nose. The octagonal stub twist barrels are engraved LACY & CO LONDON and bear London proof marks. The frame and mounts are engraved with foliage, the hammer is fitted with a sliding safety bolt. The frame is fitted with a sprung belt hook, and the barrels with a swivel ramrod. The finely chequered rounded walnut butt has a vacant oval silver escutcheon and a buttcap with hinged lid revealing a cavity for percussion caps. Excellent shiny dark patina overall.
