A 17th Century Indian dagger katar. The robust iron hilt is fitted with a sail shaped guard having chiselled borders and a bud shaped finial. Thick fluted sidebars, the handlebars of baluster form, chiselled and fitted with a pair of free turning iron baluster spacers. The blade is double edged. Lightly pitted with good age patina.
