A very unusual Balinese gilt copper mounted dagger Kris
A very unusual Balinese gilt copper mounted dagger Kris, probably made for a European (Dutch?) client at the beginning of the 19th Century. Broad wavy blade with fine watered pattern (Pamor). Hilt and sheath mounts of thick brightly gilt copper, cube shaped pommel, octagonal grip, flat guard. Sheath mounts each with 2 pairs of small comma shaped openings, blue velvet covered stem.
