Description:
A steel barrelled percussion blunderbuss by William Jackson of Birmingham c 1840. The swamped steel barrel is struck with Birmingham proof marks, and the sprung bayonet is fitted with a roller bearing spring. The signed lock is engraved with scrolling foliage en suite with the brass mounts which include a pineapple finialled trigger guard. Walnut fullstock, chequered at the wrist and with a steel ramrod. Good age patina
